2:00 p.m. - at home getting ready for Christmas dinner with family. See CNN ribbon that firecracker went off in Northwest plane after landing in Detroit.
3:30 p.m. - get telephone call during dinner from Homeland Security Committee staff that it was actually an explosive device that went off on plane.
3:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. - series of phone calls giving me info including name of suspect and that he is in gov't terrorist database.
7:05 p.m. - 7:20 p.m. - live phone interview ("phoner") with Jamie Colby Fox News Channel.
7:30 p.m. - 7:40 p.m. - phoner with CNN.
7:45 p.m. - telephone interview with WCBS-TV for 11 o'clock news.
8:00 p.m. - 8:10 p.m. - WNBC-TV at home to tape interview for 11:00 p.m. news.
8:30 p.m. - 8:40 p.m. - phoner with CNN.
10:05 p.m. - 10:10 p.m. - phoner with PIX 11
10:15 p.m. - 10:20 p.m. - tape interview with WABC-TV for 11 o'clock news.

8:50 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. - to Manhattan for CBS Face the Nation (10:30 a.m.) see video here.
12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. - to COSTCO in Melville with Rosemary. Strong response from shoppers re: terror plot and healthcare.
1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - phone calls with staff and media regarding plane incident in Detroit. Turns out to be false alarm.
Monday, December 28th
7:10 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. - telephone interview with John Gambling (WOR radio).
8:05 a.m. - 8:50 a.m. - to Village Video for live interview with Morning Joe (MSNBC) and Fox & Friends (FNC).
10:35 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - telephone interview with Scarborough.
12:05 p.m. - 12:15 p.m. - interview with WCBS-TV for 12 noon, 5pm & 6pm news programs.
3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. - photos with service academy nominees and their families.
3:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - tape interview in office for ABC Evening News.
