Friday evening, July 10th & Sunday evening, July 12th
Seaford - to St. William the Abbot's annual carnival in the parking area behind the Church. Excellent weather and large crowds each evening. Very good response to my Michael Jackson statement. All positive; none negative. The common refrain - "you said what we felt."

Monday afternoon, July 13th
3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Washington, DC - First meeting with Intelligence Committee staff. Work will be fascinating, particularly critical to New York-Long Island. Immediate issue is phony charge from some Democrats about "secret" CIA program.

Tuesday afternoon, July 14th
1:15 - 2:15 p.m.
Washington, DC - Very good meeting with Rabbi Yaakov Kermaier of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue who is a member of AIPAC's National Council. Very detailed discussion about Iran's nuclear threat to Israel and the United States. My concern is that the President is showing too much moral equivalency between Israel on one hand and Iran, Palestinians, etc. on the other. Is essential that we push sanctions against Iran
