Congressman Pete King Commends Massapequa Park VFW on Poppy Drive

Massapequa Park, NY - Congressman Pete King (R-Seaford) commends Korean War veteran John Snyder on helping Massapequa Park Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7763 kick off their annual Poppy Drive to help veterans in need. Congressman King noted that "America's veterans deserve our full support and I thank VFW Post 7763 on an outstanding job."

Vicious, deadly gangs such as MS-13 are a growing threat to decent, hardworking people on Long Island -- particularly residents of Brentwood and Central Islip. The brutal, sadistic murders of 4 young men in Central Islip last week -- which followed the horrific murders of 2 high school girls in Brentwood and at least 5 other murders have shocked the conscience of Long Island.

During the past several years I have met with law enforcement officials, community leaders and school officials regarding this gang issue. I also introduced bi-partisan legislation in Congress attempting to obtain federal funding for local school districts to help offset the cost resulting from the influx of unaccompanied minors.

During this past week I have been in contact with the Suffolk County Police and the FBI and I can state unequivocally that I they are doing everything possible to track down and arrest the murderers of these young men as they did with the killers of the Brentwood young women.

No one should have to live in terror, fearing that innocent family members, friends and neighbors will be butchered by this pack of MS-13 murderers. I urge all people in the community to fully cooperate with the Police and FBI. MS-13 must be defeated and destroyed on Long Island. If you have any information on these murders, please contact the Suffolk County Police Department at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Paid for by Pete King for Congress.
