The Museum of American Armor in Old Bethpage is a patriotic treasure reminding us of how indebted we are to the men and women of our Military who have fought and died to preserve our freedoms.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino and I had the privilege this week to join with the Armor Museum in honoring Veterans of the Vietnam War on the 53rd anniversary of the Tet Offensive - a battle which was an overwhelming military victory for the United States but which was played in much of the media as a defeat.

It was tragic that Vietnam Veterans never received the credit which they deserved for fighting in a war where the American military never lost a battle but did not receive political support.

It was inspiring to be able to meet with these brave warriors and thank them for their sacrifice and heroism.

God Bless America!

Beautiful respected post..Pete..Good morning ......I remember the TET offensive...I was one of the lucky Vietnam veterans that just got back to The Land of The BIG PX...a few months earlier..The TET was THE WORSE.....I love seeing YOU involved with VETERANS....Your POWER is much needed....Pete King you are THE MAN.....Take care always ......See you soon...Your friend..Tony Guardino.- USA....Living Vietnam veteran ....P.S..Pete..I was going through some of my old US ARMY papers from 1965 through 1967....found my old vaccination record of all the vaccines The USA ARMY gave VIETNAM VETERANS..boots on The Ground....We received so much in this war...Bottom line PETE...We all MUST receive the COVID-19 VACCINES....ITS AMERICAN MADE......& its WORKS....

Pete King, Thank You for your support. Our father served in the 2nd Armor Division (Hell on Wheels) on display is a map belonging to my father. It was presented to him and his fellow soldiers after serving. After his passing it hung in my den. We decided that it belonged in the museum for all visitors to see. Wish I could post the picture for you to see. Thanks again for all your support of our service personal and Law enforcement too.

To all our Vietnam Veterans- “ Welcome home” and thank you for your your service πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

I was at the War museum in Viet Nam where we are still portrayed as the villains.

God bless you Peter King...you are sorely missed!! I feel like I've lost a very helpful friend... Who can I contact about things that have risen my blood pressure to a dangerous level...like the razor wire around DC???

Thank you for your service and balanced perspective over the years.

Thank you to all our veterans. The Vietnam war ended in 1975 and the VA is STILL debating whether liver fluke is still an issue. Why?

,To all Veterans Thank you. My husband was a Viet Nam vet who passed in July from service connected illnesses.

Nat after reading awhile ago about the welcome home saying I now say that to anyone that I see wearing a hat or a shirt that says Vietnam Veteran on it.

God Bless America. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

As a combat veteran who served with the 1st Cavalry Division in Vietnam, I want to thank you for your recognition of our service. It was truly heartbreaking to come home to the lack of appreciation and outright disdain that we received. I really appreciate you post.

God bless our vets., they protect all, even those who don’t value , or respect them, πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸ™πŸ» Blessing πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Michael O'Donnell have you been here?

Massive Republican victories and votes on Long Island are clear rejection of far left, progressive, anti-cop Democratic policies!!
